Coyote Point Park

Coyote Point Park is a 670-acre park in San Mateo County. Located on San Francisco Bay, it is south of San Francisco International Airport on the border of Burlingame and San Mateo.

Get up close with our natural world at CuriOdyssey. Ideal for families and children, CuriOdyssey offers interactive science exhibits, experiences with California's native animals and hands-on school and public programs. Visit this popular center near Redwood City for a fun day of learning.

The center is a popular San Francisco Bay Area science education attraction that provides visitors hours of worthwhile fun and experiences. Formerly the Coyote Point Museum, CuriOdyssey has expanded and continues its mission of inspiring the imagination through engagement with the natural wonders of the world.

Alcatraz Island

Brave the frigid waters of San Francisco Bay and you’ll find yourself on the ominous Island of Alcatraz, the world’s most notorious maximum-security prison. Known as “The Rock” for good reason, Alcatraz offers a vivid look at the life of an incarcerated criminal in the early 20th century. Ferries to the island depart from Pier 41 and visits include everything from self-guided audio tours to the chance to experience a minute alone in a locked, darkened cell.

Transamerica Pyramid

Though only the 98th tallest building in the world, the Transamerica Pyramid is still one of the most recognizable. Enjoy an exclusive inside look at this world-famous structure - from the first floor to the stunning 48th floor conference room with 360-degree views – and all the way to the top of the famous spire.

Fisherman's Wharf

Explore this vibrant stretch of waterfront shops, souvenir stores, seafood restaurants, vendors, and street performers. You can even drop your own fishing line off the pier. World-famous attractions include The Anchorage, The Cannery, Ghirardelli Square and Pier 39, a festival marketplace teeming with over a hundred shops, restaurants, ferry cruise ports, and the Aquarium of the Bay.

Golden Gate Bridge

The soaring red towers of this 4,200-foot bridge are San Francisco’s most iconic landmarks and among the most spectacular sights in the world. While driving and biking the bridge offer magical views of the entire San Francisco Bay Area, the 30-minute stroll across the bridge is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Through its famous dragon gate, the largest Chinese community on the West Coast is a marvelous district of restaurants, shops, markets, and bakeries. A range of walking tours steers you through back alleys, past colorful markets and eateries. Immerse yourself in Chinese mysticism and culture, as you explore the neighborhood’s craft shops, sculptures and architecture. Be sure to sample a little dim sum, the traditional Chinese brunch, at any of the restaurants you find along the way.

AT&T Park

The home field of Major League Baseball’s San Francisco Giants, this classic-style brick ballpark offers stunning views of the Bay and Golden Gate Bridge. Quirky traditions include Portuguese water dogs chasing home run balls into the waters of McCovey Cove just beyond right field and an 80-foot Coca Cola bottle (if you find out what this has to do with baseball, please let us know!).

San Francisco Zoo

Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Northern California's largest zoological park and conservation center is home to over 250 animal species. Drop by Grizzly Gulch or uncover the deepest, darkest secrets of Africa at the African Savanna Habitat. There’s also the Children's Zoo, Gorilla Preserve, Penguin Island, Koala Crossing, Lemur Forest and the Australian WalkAbout.

Napa Valley

Swirl, sip and savor your way through one of the world’s most famous winemaking regions. Cross the Golden Gate Bridge and take your pick of over 250 sun-splashed estate wineries featuring year-round wine tastings and food festivals taking place against a backdrop of breathtaking natural beauty.

Hiller Aviation Museum

A fun and educational excursion for the entire family, this museum specializes in over a century of Northern California aviation history. In addition to the full-size jets and helicopters in the main gallery, the atrium displays over a dozen large-scale aircraft models, including a full-size replica of the Wright Brothers' 1903 Flyer as well as the remains of the Thaden "Argonaut", an early all metal aircraft built in 1928 in San Francisco.

San Mateo County History Museum

The History Museum is an innovative regional history center. Featuring interactive experiences, the long-term exhibits are the place where you can explore the county's rich and colorful history.
